PLAY OF THE WEEK

The way the Lions of Teranga exited Russia 2018 left a very sour taste not just in the mouths of Africans but lovers of fair play around the world. So i am really rooting for Senegal to make it to Qatar as they have unfinished business at the world cup and they are well on their way after winning 3 out of 3 in Group H of CAF qualifiers They say the golden generation of the Senegal national team was the 2002 one in Korea and Japan but I say this one is better. They have players such as Koulibaly, Idrissa Gueye , Keita Balde and the man who takes this week’s play of the week Sadio Mane of Liverpool. Here he puts the entire Namibian team to the sword. He has the ball almost at the center circle surrounded. An average player would have gone for the safe pass to retain possession, not Sadio. He nut megs the first player, goes around the second like he is not there. On reaching the edge of the box unleashes a left foot grass cutter giving the Namibian goalkeeper no chance. He recently notched his 100th goal for Liverpool and he and Salah are arguably two of the best forwards in world soccer today. WORLD TAKE NOTICE AFRICA RISING.
