Stage 4 was won by overall race leader Joao Almeida outsprinting fellow contender for the yellow jersey Matej Mohoric in the final stages. Interesting part of the race is the last part where you can see from the clip the rider in blue way away from the pack with about a kilometer to go  Mikkel Honoré, Joao’s teammate in the Deceuninck‑QuickStep TEAM. Mikkel is the “puller”, his job is to sacrifice himself by draw the riders who are challenging for the yellow jersey to increase speed in an effort to catch him. That tires them pretty fast therefore giving the advantage to the leader in their team in this case Joao. Almeda increasing his overall lead to 8 SECONDS over Matej in the GC whilst Italy’s Diego Ulissi, Joao’s teammate in UAE Team Emirates for 2022 sitting in third a further 14 seconds away.
