DUBAI OPEN:THIEM VS HARRIS

Dominic Thiem returned to action with a whimper as he went down in straight sets to unseeded South African Lloyd Harris 6-3 6-4 in the round of 32. Dom looked sluggish in handing the break to Harris. The backhand volley at the net at break point 1-2(30-40) should made the game deuce but he botched it ever so much. Statistic that made my eyes open up very wide indeed. Harris won a staggering 97% of his points on first serve.Thiem just could not cope when Lloyd got them in first time. Even his most potent weapon the back hand let him down.3-3 break point hawkeye was having none of his protestations. With no break point chances gained the entire match, Thiem looked like he needed time off again.
