A double crash for Primoz Roglic on Sunday put paid to his bid to win the tour. It was the worse case, freak scenario you dread when you are an overnight leader. He managed to overcome his first crash to rejoin the bunch. His second crash proved fatal to his chances. Max Schachmann managed to win Paris-Nice by besting the second and third placed overall(Aleksandr Vlasov) and Ion Izagirre Insausti on the final day. Max and the leading riders’ decision to allow the games-man in him to take over and not sit up and allow Primoz to get back into contention will be a topic of discussion this week in the cycling world. Magnus Cort of Denmark won the stage by the way.
