Sam Bennett’s second victory of the tour yesterday in the Vienne-Bollene race was more the impressive because he was some way off the lead given a kilometer of the race to go. In the end he found the gap outside the leading rider with about 400 meters to go. The wind was telling factor here with the winning time way on the wrong side of 5 hour mark. Overnight leader Primoz Roglic still has the overall lead. He did reasonably well to finish the race 43rd having crashed just after the 4 hour mark. Frenchman Nacer Bouhanni deserves special mention although he could have done better utilizing the same gap that Sam exploited on 5hr15.
