MONTPELLIER OPEN DAY 5

David Goffin and Roberto Bautista Agut are on course for a finals showdown on Sunday. Both negotiated tough encounters against Lorenzo Sonego and Ugo Humbert in straight sets respectively. Roberto was down a break at 2-0 in the first set the left handed Ugo getting the better of the Spaniard in the longer rallies. Roberto leveled things up at 2-2 dominating the net and he never looked back.How about that forehand winner at 3-3 in the first set, Humbert nearly tripped himself trying to get to it.

Second set Bautista Agut brought out the big winners, especially that forehand is proving to be a major asset for him this tournament. Roberto winning second set and match 6-3 setting a semi final against German qualifier Peter Gokowczyk. The other semi pits David Goffin of Belgium take on Egor Geradimov of Belarus. Goffin beat Lorenzo Sonego of Italy 6-4 6-4. Goffin’s major asset is his speed in movement and how about that forehand wrist action to win match point at 5-4.
