PSG has had its own way with this league for a long time and it is refreshing that not one but two teams are at LONG last challenging this monopoly. Lyon and Lille are pushing the money bags of Paris hard this season with the former just two points adrift having drawn a lot of games ,7 to be precise for only 2 defeats. The three amigos of Kadewere ,Ekambi and Depay were at their imperious best at St Etienne on Sunday. The Zimbabwean Tino Kadewere scoring a two poachers’ instinct goals. There is a nice zip to Lyon’s play they pressurize you until you make errors. Brazilian defender Marcelo got on the act with 2 well taken headers though the defending was not all that great. The second by Kadewere showed the confidence he now has to turn the defender and set himself up for the easy finish. Although Lyon’s fifth goal was credited to Denis of St Etienne as an own goal, Ekambi was the force behind it.Everybody remember Claude Puel? He perched up at St Etienne after he was hounded out of Leicester and Southampton and is bang certain on leading them to Ligue 2 next season. What a great coach!
