In match number 2 young upstarts Medvedev and Zverev looked on paper a more even encounter.Having met just 8 days before in the final of the Paris Masters,I expected a more closer encounter than what we got.Zverev was broken in the 6th game of the 1st set on deuce via a double fault on break point. The Russian looked the mentally stronger of the 2 and was buzzing with some big forehand winners of his own.6-3 Medvedev first set. In the second it went on serve until another unforced error by Zverev GIFTED Medvedev the break at a crucial time at 4-3. That proved to be a final nail in the coffin of the German with Medvedev wrapping up the match 6-4, serving the match out to love.
