Villa produced the stand out performance of the weekend(thank goodness because i was bored out of my skin with MAN CITY VS LIVERPOOL). Former Brentford striker Olly Watkins scored a brace following Bukayo Saka’s own goal after pressure from Trezeguet. The first goal for the Villans was well crafted by the outstanding pair of Barkley and Grealish with the Egyptian’s attempt to side foot home was intercepted by Saka who put it past Leno. It was more than what Villa deserved given the VAR controversy which saw McGinn’s would be goal disallowed for offside with a Villa player adjudged to be blocking Leno’s vision.
The third goal was a classic counterattack orchestrated by the alert former Arsenal goalie Martinez. He spotted the run of Grealish who put Watkins through to seal the points for Villa.
