5. Jackie Robinson
The first black player in the major league at a time of segregation. The Hall of Famer joined the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. The players of colour were required to play in the Negro Leagues since 1880s. He retired with 137 homers and 734 runs batting in(RBI).
The St Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer inducted in 1969.He finished his career with 475 runs and 1951 RBIs.
Everybody say “hey baby”.The San Francisco slugger was inducted in Hall of Fame in 1979 and retired from the game with 660 home runs and 1903 RBIs
2. Lou Gehrig
The New York Yankees first baseman was inducted into the HOF in 1939 in the same year he retired. He had 493 home runs 1995 RBIs. He had to retire upon being diagnosed with Amyontrophic lateral sclerosis(ALS) which is a disease that destroy nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The disease was named after him.
1. He was known as a yankees slugger and earlier in his career as a Red Sox pitcher. He had a massive 714 home runs and 2213 RBIs. Deservedly inducted in 1920 to the HOF.
