Well, haven’t the toffees started the season like a house on fire. But not to take anything away from Everton’s display,VAR was the star of this show. Inconsistency after inconsistency every single week. How Ward’s hand to ball could be adjudged to be a penalty is beyond me. Same applies to Chelsea’s 3rd goal against the baggies. Now the rules state that if a hand is involved in a goal,the goal is chopped off. Inconsistency. Chelsea probably deserve the luck they pummeled West Brom in the second half. Blame has to lie with Bilic who on all common sense should have kept attacking and going at Chelsea. But he lacked the self belief that his side could do that.
